When it comes to radio, especially in our hip-hop culture, Angie Martinez is the G.O.A.T. You can’t even dispute me on this one. So, when this amazing woman who I admire so much came out with her book, “My Voice,” I jumped at the chance to read it. And once I did, I couldn’t stop talking about it. I mean, from Tupac and Biggie to Jay-Z and Nas, Angie was a first-hand witness to so much hip-hop history that I adore.

And Angie’s growth as a woman made her memoir one that I could not put down. I loved reading how she fought for herself: in her career, in relationships, in friendships, and I walked away with a ton of lessons and things to consider when it comes to my own personal growth.
