From Black Friday to Small Business Saturday to Cyber Monday, this is the weekend to do some online shopping and support some really dope Black businesses. I have some suggestions on who can keep you fly all holiday season, and you can easily check them all out on Instagram. Note: Most have insane sales going on that you’ll want to take advantage of ASAP.

1. Miss Jessie’s Hair Products

My grandma always said that if your hair and shoes aren’t in order, it doesn’t matter what you have going on in between so keeping my tresses in order is essential to me.

Every year, I take advantage of Miss Jessie’s Black Friday sale and stock up for the year. My fave products are Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls, which I use every single day on my wash-n-go, and the Baby ButterCreme, which I use for Bantu knots, ponytails, buns, and the few other dry styles I can do in a flash. I have super dry hair so these are really helpful in keeping my hair soft and moisturized.

2. The Very Black Project

Aside from being one of my favorite accounts to follow on the ‘Gram, I love the Very Black Project’s message in its simple but bold font. As someone who is constantly asked the very annoying question, “What are you mixed with?,” I love wearing my shirt, because if you didn’t know, I’m very black. And proud of it.

3. The Lip Bar

The Lip Bar is a Black-owned business started by Melissa Butler (FAMU stand up!) who hustled her way to fame by making products that she believed in. The Lip Bar’s colors are unique, their products are top quality, and their prices are always good. I’m in love with Bawse Lady — a liquid matte red with sweet almond oil. Right now, it’s all 25 percent off.

You don’t have to like me, but you will respect me! BAWSE LADY demands it! Did you grab yours yet?! ?

4. House of Chic LA’s All-Black Pant Suits

Black is always in season and House of Chic LA’s all-black pant suits are everything you need to have all eyes on you during this year’s Christmas/Kwanzaa/just-because parties. The company is owned by a dynamic Black women duo and today, their entire site is 50 percent off.

5. Koereyelle’s “Black And…” Sweatshirts

If you’re Black and proud…or woke…or magic, then this sweatshirt by my friend Koereyelle is for you. Today’s special is that if you buy a sweatshirt, you’ll also get one black Queen tee, a bracelet, and button for free.
